...and another pic of a real place you can visit in the westernmost part of Liguria, "Dolceacqua". Even the name sounds like a fantasy place (Sweetwater).

That bridge is roughly 600 years old and still in use.

  3. I just got a silly idea. 

    Take a map of western Liguria, tinker a bit with it, translate the most fantasy-worth names and use it as a fantasy world. 

    I mean... "Wolfsing", "Frogsong", "Jerophant Tower", "Imperia". 

    It could work (it would also be a lot of work though)
