Here's one I whipped up for #SundayAMSwords. Pretty simple cause I was in a rush, but also simple enough for anyone to use!

Sinter, absconded assassin
One-time assassin, who failed badly on his first mission and decided to take to the road rather than face the Guild's wrath.

All That Deserves a Name
Necker - Keen assassin's blade
Baneballs - Balls of magic smoke carried by assassins to cause chaos
Mystery Mask - Used by assassins to keep their identities secret and protect from the banesmoke

Feats Heroic
Jovial - Toss a baneball and slash through purple smoke at choking foes
Glum - Slide behind and take a hostage with Necker at their throat

Trick
Inevitable Foe - The Guild of assassins coming to reclaim their mask and baneballs.

I started out with Tapper, but during the first session his daughter Yemina discovered an ancient plant magic among the snowy wastes, and then I saw her eidolon and had to make her as a rogue. (Thanks to Rob Deobald for The Stallo, which I yanked whole from Crosby.)

Tapper the Trader
Yaks of Wonder, sturdy, quick, trained for combat evasion
The Stallo, the feared cannibal giants of the wilderness who speak for the old gods.
Yemina and Little Yil, sneakthief daughters, and companions on the road. Also trained in combat evasion.
Crown of the Turen, discovered in one of their necropoleis, seems to animate bones when worn.

A rally and an announcement:
Henceforth at 9 AM Pacific time (noon Eastern), I'll make a post here for Sunday Morning Swords. Reply to that post if you're around, and I'll invite you to the hangout! That way you don't have to get up quite so early. At least few people said they are interested for next week, so I expect we'll get a game on then.

If at least two people want to play today, I could still play.. Comment below before 9:30 PST! Otherwise, see you next week.

Lest you think heavy armor makes you slow or stiff! It seems the main trade-off is the stamina required before tiring.

This reminds me of a book I read where a modern man was transported to the 15th century, and observing some knights sparring on horseback, was amazed at the speed of their sword strikes and parries. He realized they train daily, for years, and get quite skilled at swordplay and moving in armor. A slow knight is soon defeated, after all.

(I've been wanting to use this album and the associated music videos, and after seeing Charlie Vick's 80s video Rogue https://plus.google.com/u/0/104219282502793301924/posts/NfMQmL3M1Nr,  I knew I had to write it up. I've picked out some particular songs, but really this whole album and the music videos for it are Glum in a great way. Whole album at http://youtu.be/Mc0Gcdi5b6g )

The Dead Rider
Testarossa: His steed. Red chestnut coat clad in red tack, bonded to him in death. He appears and rides her only at night, full speed, reckless. They have nothing more to lose, after all.
Jennifer: His lover. His only regret in death. His only purpose beyond speed. He writes her letters, leaves them in secret places for only her. He watches over her. She is scared of him, even when he protects her from the bandits and lifts her into the saddle for a final ride. Maybe she is right.
Saddlers Guild Journeyman's Surcoat: A promising young saddler, he was brought down while riding Testarossa on a treacherous road one stormy night, wearing this. Emblazoned with the symbol of the Guild on one breast, a white "K" on a red field, he is granted some authority by tradesmen and peasants. His glowing eyes quiet the rest.

Jovial: Odd Look
Kavinsky - Odd Look
He speeds through and past his enemy. When they turn to look, he is already behind them again, Testarossa rearing and bringing metal shoe onto their skull. Without slowing he rides down the next.

Glum: Nightcall
Kavinsky - Nightcall (Drive Original Movie Soundtrack)
He holds Jennifer in his arms, silently and solidly withstanding the clubs and arrows. He looks over his shoulder, eyes glowing. Electricity flashes from him, and his enemies collapse and fall silent too.

Trick: Locus. He is drawn here. A rainy cliffside road, in deep night, traversed in such conditions only by those dead or those about to die. Goodnight.
