The Dread Geas of Duke Vulku worked great in the Ravenloft setting. Beforehand the Ravenloft thing was just an excuse to run a dirty hippy game at an D&D event, but after I rolled up 3 encounters with heavy themes of youth, skin and pain I realized that maybe Vulku is a cursed Darklord on an everlasting quest to reach the tome-tomb...

  1. Given how well vampires went over at the ENnies this year, I'm starting to think I should have just gone ahead and made Duke Vulku one of the children of the night.

  2. Maybe rewriting the questions and the description of Duke Vulkus is enough!?

  3. As luck would have it, I've been working on a few alternate Dukes and Duchesses Vulku by doing just that.

  4. I ran DGoDV again with a different group, they enjoyed it too! A few questions arised:
    1. What is the goal/object for the players?
Should the Host reincorporate the answers for the character questions, or are they only for flashing out setting/character background?
    3. If Vulku would have to pull for specific goals, how would it change the game?
