Another one for the June Rogue challenge!

Another one for the June Rogue challenge!

Morbius, the Living Vampire

All That Deserves a Name

The Blood Plague - The swept through his village, killing everyone he knew and infecting him. Causes one to bleed from all orifices until dead.

The Dead Library of Sangos - The lost library he dragged himself to in order to find a cure for his plague. He read the old tomes, raided the old overgrown garden for herbs, and mixed a potion that rid him of the plague but filled him with a thirst for blood.

Saint Amada - A living saint, kept a crowd of people from destroying Morbius. Believes he has a destiny that will change the world for the better.

Feats Heroic

Jovial - Blood sprays through the air, splattering all over Morbius and pouring into his mouth.

Glum - His black cape flaps in the darkness.

Trick
Destiny - Blood red sun. A giant statue containing the crypt of a dead king. An ancient darkness fading away.

  2. Well reading the text led me to believe that it's not something you decide in advance:

"On each Motif, fill in one element before the first Overtone is rolled. Walking castle. Serpent-drenched altar. Roads muddied with blood. In addition to filling in the other two elements on the Motif as you play, someone must include your element in their narration before the game can progress beyond the Motif."

  3. Huh. I always thought of this as sort of a sword-and-sorcery adventure outline trick since it's written before the game begins.

(Like Conan would start with Destiny:

A tomb with a long dead king, holding a sword untouched by age.

The hissing of words mixed with venom from your greatest foe in the tower of a Serpent Cult

Outnumbered, clad in armor stolen from the dead, fighting desperately in a forgotten graveyard)

Maybe we can get Eppy to start a tips-and-tricks column. ^_~

Also - I dig you running through the Marvel Knights guys! ^_^ The street level/mystic dudes don't get as much press as the Avengers.

  4. Ah, I think you're right. That makes sense and fits with the other tricks. I thought it should be something like that but wasn't quite sure how to do it. I've added some Motifs above!

As a youngster I loved the Marvel Knights and they still hold a special place for me even though they haven't had as many good runs as some of the bigger superheroes.

  5. Me too! ^_^ Also it doesn't hurt that I'm a huge Dr Strange fan, and followed the Defenders for a while. Good stuff!
