So what Hacks have people actually tried running?

So what Hacks have people actually tried running? I know we like to do thought experiments with changes in tone, but I am wondering how well those would perform in actual play. During our fat-chewing session, Michael Miller and I agreed (I think we did, anyway) that hacking Swords was a much deeper level prospect than it originally first seemed. That is to say, changing tones is unlikely to be sufficient even if it is perhaps necessary.
